David J. Cooper, M.D., Ph.D.Dr. Cooper was born (1940) and educated in England. After attending The Norton Knatchbull Grammar School in Ashford, Kent, he attended the University of London, obtaining high honors in Chemistry, with the award of a B.Sc. Degree in 1962. He pursued graduate studies at London's renowned Imperial College of Science and Technology, working under the supervision of Sir Derek H.R.Barton, F.R.S., Nobel Laureate, and was awarded a Ph.D. In Organic Chemistry in 1965 for his research on potential anti-cancer agents. Following a post-doctoral year of research in Molecular Biology at Baylor University College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, Dr. Cooper took a position as Research Associate with the Schering Corporation in Bloomfield, N.J. During his tenure there (1966 – 1971) he led the group that developed the antibiotic Gentamicin – a drug widely used today in the treatment of severe infection and the treatment of 'pink eye'. |

Mark R. Faber, M.D., F.A.A.P.Dr. Faber grew up in Northeast Philadelphia and is a proud graduate of Northeast High. He won an academic scholarship to LaSalle University where he earned a B.A. in Biology. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia in 1984 and completed his pediatric training at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children. For the last twenty-three years, he has practiced at Chester County Pediatrics. His interests include difficult diagnoses, gastroenterology, and developmental/psychosocial pediatrics. He has served as Chief of Pediatrics at the Chester County Hospital and Brandywine Hospital. Dr. Faber is married and proud of his wife and four fantastic daughters. His interests include songwriting, traveling, live performing arts, cinema and supporting worthy global charities. He contributes to the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research with the sales of his CD Lonely Romance available for a donation at the office or from iTunes. |

Jill Brazelton, M.D., F.A.A.P.Jill Brazelton was born and raised in the Philadelphia area. She received a B.A. in Human Biology and her M.D. from Stanford University. She completed her pediatric residency training at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford in Northern California. Dr. Brazelton moved back to Pennsylvania and joined Chester County Pediatrics in 2005. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two children and likes outdoor activities. |
